Day 2 at SXSW Sydney was buzzing, thanks to the hella great vibe at Tumbalong Park and the iconic Suntory Vending Machine.
Probably one of the coolest things you’re going to set your eyes upon at SXSW Sydney, the colossal Minus 196 three-story vending machine in the kind of yellow that brings about lemony thirst that only a Minus 196 can quench.
Amy Webb kicked things off with a keynote on emerging tech trends. The CEO of Future Today Institute kept it real, giving practical insights for those wanting to navigate the tech scene. Adam Spencer was on hand to keep the conversation easy-going.

“Once Upon A Time in Hollywood” gave us a down-to-earth look at the film industry. Jason Clarke, Phillip Noyce, Charmaine Bingwa, and Amy Wang shared their experiences. Bec Smith kept the chat relaxed, getting insights on their contributions in Hollywood and back home.

The night wrapped up with the world premiere of “ONEFOUR: Against All Odds.” Gabriel Gasparinatos’ doc was a raw tale of Aussie drill rap pioneers. It was a rollercoaster of ambition and hurdles.

Looking ahead, there’s more cool stuff in store: from Naomi Watts and Mia Freedman talking reinvention to a deep dive into Aussie Hip Hop with the ARIA Awards 2023. And let’s not forget the parties – it’s gonna be a amazing!

SXSW Sydney is shaping up to be quite the ride!
