Twitter is losing it after Trump-supporting Keanu Reeves lookalike goes viral

A Halloween costume-version of Keanu Reeves has gone viral on Twitter after a very excited Trump supporter mistook him for the real thing.

The original post included a photo of the man alongside the Reeves-look-alike at a bike show. An accompanying caption enthusiastically informed the world that the imposter-Keanu “restores antique bikes and is a Trump supporter.”

Twitter is exploding after a Confederate-flag wearing Trump supporter mistook a guy at a bike show for Keanu Reeves.

The post went viral after Twitter user @ogrods uploaded the screenshots to the OperationFlagDrop Facebook group, advertised as a place for people “to post and enjoy pics, videos of Trump 2020 Flag, Sign and Banner Drops.”

The photos are an absolute masterpiece, with non-Keanu standing very uncomfortably as his Confederate flag-wearing companion poses with various Trump paraphernalia.

While most people are very aware that the jaded man in the picture isn’t Keanu, a concerning amount of comments on the original post are completely convinced:

“If that is him then he looks jaded and semi not happy. Apparently he’s very reserved and a fly below the radar guy.”

“Hell yea this is amazing love his acting. Smart man”

“Yea doesn’t look like him. I guess we used to seeing him with makeup on lol”

Reeves is known for keeping his political beliefs and personal life very private. Only recently did the Matrix actor go public about his relationship with long-time girlfriend Alexandra Grant. Last year, Snopes debunked rumours that Reeves was a Trump supporter after false quotes began circulating online.

Reeves has a number of future projects lined up, including a reprise of one of his oldest roles in Bill & Ted Face the Music, The Matrix 4 and John Wick: Chapter 4. In the meantime, Twitter is doing what it does best, creating some absolutely golden content about the mixup.
