Vallis Alps unveils Australian tour and GAUCI’s ‘Start Again’ remix

Vallis Alps, are back and hitting Aussie stages in March 2024, marking their return after a six-year break

Fresh off the release of their debut album, “Cleave,” earlier this year, Vallis Alps are ready to bring their pop perfect electronic beats to Naarm, Meanjin, and Eora.

And there’s more good news – they’ve dropped another remix from the album. Indie pop legends GAUCI take on ‘Start Again’ and give it a fresh twist with a little David Guetta energy.

It’s the kind of remix that makes you want to hit the dance floor like you might have in the 90s, back when Saint Etienne brought Neil Young’s ‘Only Love Can Break Your Heart’ to the masses.

The original ‘Start Again’ got some major love from radio. It’s one of those tracks that captures the ups and downs of life, with synths that grow on you like a comfortable old hoodie.

GAUCI shared: “When Vallis asked us to remix a song off their new record, we were stoked. They’re like Aussie royalty to us, so we went all out. Parissa’s voice can vibe with anything, so the trick was deciding where to take it. We locked in for 24 hours and came up with this nod to the good old days of dance floor bangers.”

Vallis Alps added, “The moment we heard this remix, we fell for it. GAUCI brings this contagious, unique vibe to everything they do, and this remix is no different. We’ve known Antonia for ages – she even engineered some of our first-ever releases. It’s awesome to keep the collaboration going in a new direction.”
