Are Violent Soho teasing new music?

It has been a while since we have heard anything from Aussie rock legends Violent Soho, besides a few live gigs here and there. In fact, it has been three years since we were blessed by their groundbreaking 2016 album Waco.

But something fishy is going on, and we suspect Soho are up to something. And by up to something, we mean that new music could be on the way.

We’re guessing something cool is on the way, since a bunch of billboards have gone up around town bearing the Violent Soho signature.

‘There’s a Baby Boomer across the street, and it won’t stop staring at me,’ a poster spotted on Melbourne’s Punt Road reads, underscored by the words ‘Violent Soho’.

Since then Violent Soho has shared a snap of a billboard themselves, alongside the caption ‘A-OK Boomer’ with a thumbs-up emoji.

This all comes ahead of their forthcoming slot at the second annual roaming punk fest Good Things festival in a few weeks’ time, joining the likes of Parkway Drive, Skeggs and A Day to Remember. We are hoping that punters at this festi will be the first ones blessed with some new tunes.

Our fingers are crossed that the band will break the news to us sooner rather than later because we are starting to get Soho withdrawals. Bring on the new music!
