Wife of Pornhub CEO wants husband to cut ties with company

The wife of Pornhub owner, Bernd Bergmair has spoken out that she wants her husband to leave Pornhub behind.

Priscila Bergmair wants her husband to sever connections with Pornhub, which has come under fire in the past year for failing to remove revenge porn, rape videos and child pornography.

Speaking to the Sunday Times, the Pornhub wife shared: “Everyone wants the best to be done. Because people have children. I have children now. We all want things to be right.”

She also said she wants better control on sites like Pornhub so that children will be protected from disturbing and explicit sexual content.

Priscilla also said she was completely unaware of the dark side of Pornhub.

“To be honest, I never knew of this. I was totally out of this,” she said.

“The only thing he told me is that he wishes he was not in this, and I think he will not be very soon,” she said. “I hope so. I don’t know. I really hope so.”

Bernd Bergmair is the owner of MindGeek, the Canadian porn mega-company that’s racked up a serious revenue of 46o million US dollars as of 2018.

In addition to Pornhub, the company also owns NSFW video sharing sites Redtube and YouPorn.

Last year, the public caught wind of disturbing videos being uploaded without any interference on the site.

In response, Pornhub deleted all videos that weren’t made by official content creators, which meant roughly 80 per cent of the sites was immediately removed.

Speaking of the mass video deletion, Pornhub said: “the safety of the Pornhub community is our top priority, which is why we have enacted the most comprehensive safeguards in user-generated platform history.”
