Back in December, famously controversial The Smiths frontman Morrissey announced that he would be releasing a cover album. Since then, the album has been surrounded with rumour and intrigue as a growing list of contributors has been released.
The 12 track album, California Son, drops on May 24th and features a plethora of genre-spanning vocalists. From Grizzly Bear’s Ed Droste, Young the Giant’s Sameer Gadhia, and LP, the album is sure to have one hell of an interesting sound.

Well, it just got more interesting, with Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong recently being announced as a special guest. Performing a cover of The Fifth Dimension’s Wedding Bell Blues alongside Lydia Night there’s no saying what the track will actually sound like. But it is safe to say, we’re intrigued.
