Flume has teamed with London Grammar for a new single

Flume has been bringing in the goods this year. After surprising us with his 38-min Hi This Is Flume mixtape and follow-up single Friends, the Aussie producer has just dropped another tune as well as announcing a headline London show.

On his new release, Flume (AKA Harley Streten) collaborates with London Grammar’s Hannah Reid for a quintessential dance track Let You Know.

Australian electronic music icon Flume collaborates with London Grammar’s Hannah Reid to produce a quintessential dance track Let You Know.

The pair have apparently been trying to tee this one up for a while. What with busy and conflicting schedules Hannah says they’ve been trying to work together for years. Finally, Streten and Reid got into the studio last summer and effortlessly produced this gem of a track, creating a piece that Flume says “just came together really naturally in the studio that day”.

The collaboration between the two sounds seamless, with Reid’s indie-pop vocals perfectly complementing Flume’s electronic soundscape. Her melodic and melancholic voice soars above Flume’s sound that we know all so well: the iconic kicks, dripping, dense synths and subtle electronic melodies.

The London Grammar singer is a huge fan of both the track and Flume’s style, sharing that “working with Harley was an honour because he pushes the boundaries of electronic music like nobody else. He’s the kind of electronic artist who will be around forever. I love our song we did together.”

And Flume will be around, visiting home shores this September and October to tour the country as headliner for this year’s Listen Out festival, in amongst a a whole host of international tour dates announced. He will also headline Transgressive’s 15th anniversary celebrations at London’s O2 Brixton Academy later in the year.
