For the first time ever, SNL comedian Fred Armisen is touring Australia

You know him from SNL, Portlandia and Documentary Now! and now you can get ready to laugh at him in the flesh because Fred Armisen is on his way down under.

That’s right, the legendary comedian is coming to Australia for the first time ever for his comedy show Comedy For Musicians But Everyone Is Welcome.

Armisen started his career as a musician in a punk band in Chicago but has since been more widely recognised for his starring roles in Portlandia with Carrie Brownstein and Documentary Now! with Bill Hader and Seth Meyers.

Armisen is one of the most diverse and talented working performers in the business today, able to switch between characters without missing a beat. He is both an actor, comedian, screenwriter, producer and musician and gained recognition for his stint on popular comedy show Saturday Night Live, which he worked on for over a decade.

Armisen’s innate wit and humour have awarded him a Peabody award and countless Emmy nominations for both writing and acting.

If that hasn’t sold you to buy a ticket yet, you might know Armisen for his always outstanding and memorable cameo roles in the likes of Parks & Recreation, Brooklyn 99 and Anchorman, among others.

You can get your tickets on Monday, July 15th, at 10 am via Ticketek and I can assure you it will sell out.
