Julia Jacklin, Angie McMahon and more join new online music festival

Have all your Autumn music festivals been cancelled? No worries! Isol-Aid is a new Aussie music festival featuring 72 of Australia’s best artist, and its happening this weekend!

The best part is, you don’t even have to leave your house.

Instagram music festival, Isol-Aid, is encouraging Aussies to stay home and support the Australian music scene amidst coronavirus lock downs.

The recent coronavirus outbreak has left the Australian music scene suffering, with a bunch of amazing festivals and events having been postponed or cancelled. This has led to over $100 million in income losses in only a few weeks.

Isol-Aid is combating the chaos with a live streamed festival of sorts. Viewers will be encouraged to donate to Support Act, one of Australia’s best in providing support regarding finances and mental health for musicians. Viewers will also be encouraged to buy merch or music from the performing artists in an effort to support them further.

The line-up contains some of Australia’s leading artists. This includes Julia Jacklin, Stella Donnelly, Angie McMahon, Spacey Jane, Hayley Mary, Didirri and a bunch of others.

From 12 noon this Saturday the 21st of March, each Aussie artist involved will play a 20 minute set via Instagram Live. The artist will then ‘tag-team’ the next artist and so on which will ultimately, “send fans down a rabbit-hole of new music discovery.”.

The show will continue until midnight, and then begin again at 12 noon on Sunday the 22nd of March.

Artists will be performing from their self quarantine spaces, wherever that may be! Head to the Facebook page for more info!

So grab yourself a bottle of wine and some snacks, self isolation this weekend is about to get LIT.
