Girls Rock! Sydney is celebrating and showcasing female, trans and non-binary artists at the Factory Theatre in Marrickville, with funds being raised going towards hosting the Girls Rock!

TURN OUT: a fete for grown-ups is being held over two days and will host over 50 pop-up market stalls, FBi DJs, an indoor jungle, talks and workshops and a vinyl and repressed records sale.

Japan Film Festival Classics at AGNSW

JFF Classics returns to AGNSW with a free 16mm and 35mm film collection. This year’s program, Passion and Obsession, features works adapted from novels by celebrated Japanese authors, including Junichiro Tanizaki and Kyoka Izumi.

Noah Taylor: Fascination

Olsen Annexe will play host to London-based artist Noah Taylor and his solo show, Fascination. Fascination will feature nearly 40 works on paper by Taylor in his distinctly gothic, figurative style.

Of the series, Taylor says ‘the word fascination is derived from the Latin ‘fascinationem’ – to bewitch or enchant. I can neither confirm nor deny that I use magical occult practices in the creation of my work’.

MELBOURNE: Darebin Music Feast Closing Party

PERTH: Lou Reed Celebration Show

It’s five years since Lou Reed’s passing, and to celebrate the late rockstar’s life Badlands Bar is hosting a night of Reed’s music performed by an all-star cast of musicians drawn from local Perth bands.
