Merivale are heating up your winter with a massive free gig venture across Sydney

Merivale has teamed up with Furphy once again to bring us a whole season’s worth of gigs. See Sound is returning with a huge lineup that’s sure to get you off the couch this winter.

Coogee Pavilion Rooftop, Vic on the Park and The Royal at Bondi will be hosting an array of Sydney’s hottest big name acts, local bands and DJs every weekend throughout the colder months.

Merivale has your winter live music calendar sorted as they bring back See Sound, a free gig series in collaboration with Furphy.

Merivale launched See Sound last summer, teaming up with Furphy to provide secret rooftop sessions, rocking pubs and experimental garage parties that saw artists like Hayden James, Winston Surfshirt, Bag Raiders and Cosmic Psychos playing to a variety of music-loving crowds across Sydney.

Their vision was to bring free live music to the forefront of summer and to create a new platform for showcasing a variety of local talent. Kicking off in June, Merivale is bringing back that summer heat with a massive lineup of local acts to eliminate your winter blues.

Coogee Pavilion will be curating weekly Sunday sessions with an impressive host of DJ’s spinning some spicy funk and disco tunes. These sessions will include a headlining show by Eastern suburbs party-tech aficionados Yolanda Be Cool on the 23rd of June, as well as a DJ set by Melbourne-based discotheque enthusiasts  Total Giovanni on the 21st of July.

On the 18th of August, twin house labels Reptile Dysfunction and Hot Sunday Records will be taking over the rooftop, showcasing some of the best artists they have to offer, including secret international and local guests. View the full Coogee Pavilion See Sound music schedule here.

Vic on the Park will showcase Inner West favourites and international acts across a variety of genres including rock, hip hop, psychedelic, garage and indie every Saturday. A major highlight of their lineup is the epic carpark party on the 8th of June curated by Aussie independent label I OH YOU

The party kicks off at 2pm on an outdoor stage in the carpark, hosting Shogun and the Sheets, Big White, Jade Imagine, and Julia Why?, before Fritz, Egoism and Sunscreen play inside from 9pm. The venue will also host Sydney’s Milan Ring on the 6th of July. View the full Vic on the Park See Sound music schedule here.

Bondi’s home of live music, The Royal, will be hosting a huge cohort of local DJs and noteworthy live acts in the front room every Saturday. The 8th of June will see an epic variety of performances, including a DJ set from Jack Moffat of The Preatures as well as a live show from Leroy Francis.

The evening will also see a DJ set by DJ Danial of Melbourne’s Midnight Juggernauts, as well as a live performance from Sloan Peterson. The venue will host massive lineups like this each week – check out the rest of the See Sound schedule for The Royal here.

No matter what floats your boat, See Sound is sure to provide some memorable evenings of live music this winter. With an already jam-packed lineup and plenty more acts still to be announced, there’s bound to be something for everyone.
