Cardi B shows off sweet message from Beyoncé, warns those who touch it will be “electrocuted”

Cardi B has taken to social media to gush over a gift and handwritten note sent to her by Beyoncé.

Sharing a video on her Twitter this morning (September 20), Cardi B can be seen showing off an inscription written by the popstar on a gifted vinyl of Renaissance, the dance-inspired album released by Beyoncé in July.

Cardi begins by telling fans to read the Beyoncé-penned message, before informing them of the security measures she’s taking to ensure no one gets near the gift. Later in the video, Cardi sings a line from the Renaissance track, Plastic Off The Sofa, and elsewhere thanks Beyoncé for her heartfelt message.

Look what Beyoncé sent me. Read it, bitch,” Cardi giggled as she held up the record, “I’m gonna put it in a glass frame with some laser beams on it. Anyone who gets mothafuckin’ next to it is gonna get electrocuted on mothafuckin’ site.” Eagle-eyed fans went on to transcribe Beyoncé’s message, in which the singer sends well-wishes and thanks Cardi for her support.

To Cardi B, Hardworking, Beautiful and talented Queen, thank you for always supporting me. Sending so much love to you and yours. Respect,” the message read. The correspondence marks the latest heartfelt exchange between the two musicians. In response to the success of her single Break My Soul in July, Beyoncé posted her first-ever TikTok, which featured a cameo of Cardi’s viral rendition of the track.

Elsewhere, the pair were rumoured to have collaborated on a song in 2017, before the track was nixed due to widespread online leaks. Meanwhile, in Cardi’s debut 2018 album, Invasion of Privacy, the rapper name-drops Beyoncé four times across the 12-song tracklist: “I wanted to s–t on myself,” Cardi recalled of her first encounter with the Halo singer in 2018, “it was a very scary thing.
